Guide on Best Makeup Brushes in India|Know your Makeup Brushes better

Your face is a canvas to apply makeup that suits your face and skin tone. But how do you prefer to apply make up? Do you just randomly pick up any makeup brush to apply foundation and concealer? Do you apply lipstick without a brush? This festive and wedding season get some low down on all the different type of brushes available for different uses. Let’s take a look at them and their uses.

1. Foundation Brush

This brush is used for applying liquid foundation and helps to give you a smooth non-caked up finish. The brushes come in tightly packed bristles of varying lengths. You can either apply the foundation on your face with your fingertips or apply it directly on the brush and then on your face starting at the nose and working your way through your face. Using a foundation brush helps you to apply makeup evenly and precisely. Also after applying you don’t have to keep running to the bathroom to wash your hands.

2. Powder Brush

Simple to spot and easy to use, powder brush is soft,  full and rounded and is used to distribute powder evenly to large areas. This can be used to evenly apply evenly to large areas. Just dust off any excess and apply using sweeping and circular motions. This brush can be for bronzer as well.

3.Stippling Brush

This brush is a multi-purpose brush and is commonly used with liquid foundation, blush, and bronzer. The flat, circular with black bristles are tightly packed together and provides lightweight coverage and is perfect for layering. You can see white bristles poking out above the black bristles which are made of synthetic.

4. Concealer Brush

This is a small brush which comes with a huge impact. Brush away those imperfections such as dark circles under the eyes, spots or discoloration by gently patting on your concealer for smooth and flawless coverag.

5. Blusher Brush

This brush is made of fine and gentle fibre with soft rounded head. Blusher brush is ideal for applying blush to the apple of your cheeks and blending it up your cheekbone. Always give a smile when applying with blusher brush to highlight your cheekbones.

6. Contour Brush

Your makeup isn’t over yet if you have not contoured it.  This brush comes with slanted bristles which is similar to the angle of your cheekbones to help you blend, highlight and shading.

7. Eye base brush and Angle eye shadow brush

Both these brushes are commonly used for eye makeup;the eye base brush is used to apply color to your entire eyelid. This brush is wide, flat and short to allow smooth application without harming the eyelid. Once you have used the eye base brush for applying the base color, an eyeshadow brush is used for layering color and creating hard lines along the eyelid crease.

8. Smudger Brush

To create a smudgy look this dome-shaped bristles brush is ideal for softening hard lines. This brush is at times found at the other end of an eye pencil and the bristles are shaped to fit perfectly into the crease of the eye. This brush is mainly used to create a smoky look.

9. Lip Brush

The lip brush allows for precise application and lining of the lip and is useful in case you don’t have a lip liner or cannot find the right tightly-packed. The short and firm bristles and helps flawless overall coverage while the sculpted tip of the brush allows for perfect application.
