1. Who Are You And How Are You Into What You Do?

A Fashion Designer who has her own brand Line by the name of “Kritika“. I am mostly into Indian Ethnic bridal and Non-Bridal couture wear.

2. Tell Us About Your Journey And How Did You Choose Fashion Designing Over Everything Else?

I was always a creative child with a knack for all things artistic. After completing my Engineering and while working in an MNC, I got an offer from an Author to design the cover for his Novel. The book became a bestseller and I was covered by leading daily “The Hindu” for my work.

Marriage happened soon after and then my dream and love for fashion designing slowly started taking shape. With the support of my husband who encouraged me and pushed me in many ways to design the logo for Swachch Bharat mission in Mirzapur District and I found my love for fashion designing back. And in no time, in fact, just two months post delivering my first baby, I started my own designer Label “Kritika” which has now grown manifold with the support of my loved ones.

3. What Role Would You Have Chosen As A Career Option If Not Fashion Designing?

Like I said I was working in an MNC, by now would have been working on some senior managerial post. But because my baby is important to me, I may have left my job post-delivery. The business gives me that flexibility to work as per my comfort Zone with no deadline headache or being answerable to anyone!

4. How Do You Ensure A Brilliant Couture For Your Fans And Clients?

It all comes naturally!

I imagine the whole set in my mind as soon as I get an order or have to come out with the seasonal collection, the imagination input on paper and then executed! Indian couture is all about beautiful fabrics and rich embroideries. It’s beautiful to work with Indian weavers and artisans and to be able to create masterpieces in turn!

When all the hard work pays off and I see my lovely clients donning my creation and showering me with love and affection! Also, winning the best Fashion Designer Entrepreneur Angel Award 2017 under the Role model category was a winning moment for me.

Married to an IAS officer, Kritika is a mother to a one-year-old, and collecting various pieces of art and craft items is her hobby. Currently stationed in UP very near to the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, she enjoys her getaways into the wild. She also heads Akansha Samiti which does a lot of good community work including tree plantations, Woman Empowerment, etc. to name a few.

Together with her creative team, she weaves masterpieces which have led her to attain the stature of a successful designer within the tenure of an year. Her happy customers never get tired of praising her as per their testimonials.
