It’s a new year with new resolutions set in place and not to forget new makeup trends for the year 2019! Last year we saw a lot of smoky eyes, bold lip colors, and eyeshadow colors like parrot green on actress Sonam Kapoor.

Women like experimenting with different colors and don’t mind giving a bold look. What colors will be in trend? What looks will be preferable for the year 2019?

Winning Stree got in touch with another winning stree, Rritu Khatri – a professional and passionate Makeup Artist with a rich experience of 10+ years based at Indore. She is also an Educator for professional Makeup and Hair designing.

She loves coaching people given her strong communication skills and has had several opportunities to train people on subjects like soft skills and communication through the course of her career.

She has worked with Bollywood makeup artists and currently, she works for a globally renowned brand, MAC Cosmetics India. Her skills and passion for makeup have bagged her an award from  Shri Pandhari dada, a makeup legend of the Bollywood industry who has dolled up almost all the queen actresses of  Bollywood of the last decade.

NUDE & NATURAL

Rritu suggests, going basic/ minimal with the makeup to give it a fresh look has become a trend, which will still be on the favorites list in 2019.

GLOW

“Glow Baby Glow”  is the makeup mantra of the upcoming trend. Highlighters, illuminators, glitters, metallic shimmers, sparkles, of course, are the favorites, keeping the rest of the makeup that doesn’t look overboard. The trend speaks more of a glow on the skin that looks natural.

DIFFUSED LOOK –

Rritu says,

“We witnessed a lot of defined eye looks with defined eyeliners in 2018, but as bridal makeup moves into a glam phase, its time to welcome blurred liners, smudged & diffused eye looks. With the flexibility of playing with colors and intensity, this sultry smokey diffused look compliment every age and style.”

HEAVY / METALLIC EYES. –

Eyes are incomplete if they don’t sparkle and catch the attention of the onlookers. Glitzy lids with shimmery metallic eyeshadows in a sheer layer for the shy, or a double dose for the daring, is gonna raise our eye makeup game.

STATEMENT LIPS-

Deep, dark, rich lip colors, be it berry hues, flattering plums or deep neutrals spell confidence and gorgeousness. These statement lips certainly make our brides feel like sashaying on the ramp.

Not to forget power pouts, lip glosses are back in the game. Glossy and metallic finish over satin and lustre will be high up on the 2019 list.

ELABORATE LASHES AND BOLD BROWS – 

The entire drama is revolving around lashes and brows. Gone are the days when lashes used to be just for dramatic looks. They are neither retro anymore. Pretty lashes and bold brows are the game changers of the trend
