Who Are You And How Are You Into What You Do?
My Name is Sheetal Balwani and I am a professional Interior Designer and Consultant. I started a company named Design Ambience by Sheetal Balwani.
My personal approach towards designing any available space brings me to the point where I would like to create a story which can be visible in form of a theme. I think nothing goes out of fashion when we can really have an attitude to carry an Art.
Tell us about your Journey…
It was not an easy journey as I started my career in some other direction. I worked with multiple online shopping brands and experienced a hardcore corporate lifestyle.
Somewhere, I was not happy with what I was into. It was good for my pocket but my soul was still hungry to get what I don’t even know.
One fine day during a deep conversation with my elder sister reminded me that I always wanted to be an Interior Designer. That was the day I decided to take my first step towards my dream. It was hard but worth it. I continued my classes, studies, assignments, and market visits along with my job.
Post that finding a job was another struggle because I was a fresher in this field but although I was not a fresher. Leaving my job and assisting someone without getting paid was not an option for me.
After the struggle of a year, finally, I got appointed for an online Interior company which was a startup just like my newly born career. There I worked to handle the entire project, starting from client’s meeting till site handover.
Since starting I knew that I would start my own brand and will take that up to the heights where my soul feels the satisfaction of my existence.
Very soon I left my job and started doing my independent projects. Currently, I am on my way to create brand recognition for my company – Design Ambience by Sheetal Balwani.
That Winning Stree Moment
Although every time when I get a compliment from the client for my work is like a Winning Stree moment for me. However, the most remembered one was when I got awarded as the best creative designer of the month in my company and it was my 4th Month in that company.

Difficulties You Faced When Fulfilling Your Dreams/Aspirations?
That I have already shared how I had to arrange my own cost of studies. Doing a part-time and full-time job along with classes, assignments, market visits and practice was really hard. I forgot the meaning of weekends because my week offs and leaves used to go in completing assignments. Overtime in office was killing. I had no option to leave my job because that was the only source of income I had.
But, in the end, It’s Worth it.
What Makes You Extraordinary?
I think my struggle made me extraordinary. I am very comfortable in an uncomfortable zone and I don’t give up easily. Furthermore, as far as my designing style is concerned, I love introducing fusion in trends with some non-trendy elements. It’s all about how you want to treat the space.
