1.Tell us about your journey and how did you choose to be what you are today?
My career started with doing my CFA and working in the money markets division but late office hours led me to quit my job because I wanted to enjoy each moment of bringing up my daughter. She was a little girl when I decided to change my career path and started taking fitness classes with the main aim of giving her quality time.
2. Difficulties you faced, as a woman, when fulfilling your dreams/aspirations and how did you overcome them?
If you believe something to be a barrier in your way, only then it is a problem. I’ve always been a headstrong, confident and positive woman. I never tend to look at things negatively, and even if there was some difficulty I faced, I hardly heeded to it. You have to look past trivial issues of life to achieve the bigger goal you’ve set
3. Societal Pressure on Women expecting them to behave in one particular manner tends them to leave their careers midway sometimes. Your message to such women who aspire to grow higher but fear of losing things they value!
There is no force greater than yourself, whether it is to take you forward or hold you back. Staying true to your morals is important.
4. Is it difficult for women to articulate or voice out their will both professionally or personally? How important is it for females to voice out their opinions?
It is very important for everyone, not just women to be vocal about their emotions and opinions for healthy development. As a woman, you can find it difficult to be heard, but you just need to have patience and push through because the day they hear you, you’ll definitely change the world.
5. What is feminism according to you?
Feminism to me is the freedom to be able to say and do what I want without having to prove my worth as a woman. It is about believing in myself and paying no attention to what others have to say; simply continuing on my path to success.
6. Your Favorite quote that you believe in which speaks highly about Feminism
Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman – a woman will be limiting herself if she tries to impersonate a man.
7. Your Winning Stree Moment
My winning stree moment was when I started getting inquiries from various cities to establish a DtF franchise in their vicinity.
8. Your Thoughts about International Women’s Day and any message you would wish to convey to our Fellow Strees…
International Women’s Day is a celebration of women from all walks of life. It’s that special day when we love the attention that we receive and allow ourselves to be pampered and regarded as the iron pillars that we are.
Message to fellow strees – As a woman, we give a lot of time to our kids and home and family members but forget ourselves completely. I would want every woman to look deep inside herself and find what makes her happy and spend at least an hour daily doing exactly that because a woman is the backbone of the family. The backbone needs to be taken care of at all times so as to keep the family happy.
