Ganesh Utsav is one of the biggest festivals of India, celebrated especially in southern and central India. Having said that, matching the cosmopolitan equation these days, it is being celebrated across India with much pomp and show. While festivities mean happiness it also brings in pollution especially that of air pollution and water pollution.
Protecting mother earth and the environment is the biggest challenge that the festival makers face. Festivals bring in happiness and Eco-friendly options help conserve nature, saving the dying water bodies, and protecting the planet from the green-house effects or global warming.
Delhi/NCR also seemed concerned this year with more and more options are available for Eco-Friendly and Fish-Friendly Ganesh Chaturthi. Claying Thoughts promotes the use of Eco-friendly Ganpati during the Ganesh Utsav. They make clay idols on order and conduct Eco-friendly Ganpati Making Workshops across Delhi NCR. This is the 5th consecutive year of their Eco-friendly drive.
“Make your own Ganesha Idol ” workshops are designed for children and adults, family, corporates (beginners only) so they can learn to make idol on their own and do an Eco-friendly Visarjan at home in a bucket.
This year more than 75 participants were enrolled for their workshop. The Eco-Friendly Ganesha’s turn into trees post immersion.
Smriti Bhatia is based out of Noida and is a renowned chocolatier in the region. People swear by her chocolaty creations and her unique themes as she molds chocolates into various innovative forms, shapes, and sizes.
Equally irresistible yet for a divine cause, she has curated a special chocolaty Bappa this year. Made 100% out of chocolate, her creation is completely Eco-Friendly. She has also planned an Eco-Friendly immersion in milk which will then be fed to poor and needy children. And if all that wasn’t enough she has some delicious modaks made out of chocolates which come handy as offerings to Bappa!

Kindle Arts is a place to kindle the love for art in you. They curate art workshops for people who appreciate art and are ardent art lovers to get inspired! They are placed in Noida and have gained popularity with their social media handles crossing more than 3.5 K followers.
This year they organised beautiful Eco-Friendly Ganesha making workshops which were a hit with masses. Entirely made of Eco-friendly materials, Lord Ganesha the lord of creativity indeed blessed them in abundance on spreading the love for nature.
A professional calligrapher and also into hand-building pottery, she takes regular art, pottery, and calligraphy classes and organizes workshops.
Based out of Sector 93 in Noida, she also takes Eco-Friendly Ganesha workshops. This year she took about 3 workshops in and around Noida/NCR and also makes Eco-friendly Ganesha on order.
Ganesha the lord who is the foremost worshiped also wants nature to be worshiped even before him. Let us be responsible for this Ganpati and the forth-coming ones and pledge to have an Eco-Friendly celebration. Let us love our environments first and foremost to be able to sustain it for many such festivals in the future.
