In Conversation with Rainna Goel | The Youngest Blogger | The Youngest Winning Stree!!!

Meet Rainna Goel, a 12-year-old from Mumbai who is also the youngest blogger on the block! She studies at Jamnabhai Narsee International School, Mumbai and she loves to write, travel, and click away memories to where ever she travels.

She shares her travel experiences and photographs on her blog, ‘Travels A La Carte’.

We catch up with Rainna for a tete-a-tete on her blog and what is it that sets her apart from other bloggers.

1. What made you start blogging?

For as long as I can recall, I have wholeheartedly penned down my travel diary during all of our family trips. It was in summer 2018 that I started blogging the behest of my mother as she found my travel diaries worth sharing.

Since I always enjoyed traveling, my parents kept me involved in planning our vacations and detailed itineraries. I always gained information and tips from other travel bloggers to plan the same. My parents convinced me to explore my writings and I thought of this opportunity to start ‘Travels A La Carte’.

2. What is it that you love about blogging?

As soon as I wrote and published my first blog via ‘TravelsALaCarte’, it gave me a sense of accomplishment and pride. It felt as if this was where I always belonged. Blogging explores my creative instincts and I love talking to people through my writings on personal travel encounters. Before I knew it, I was completely addicted to traveling blogging and photography. Blogging makes me happy and gives me a medium for expression providing me with a sense of relief.

3. The fact that a 12-year-old is a blogger must have also made you popular in school. How does it feel?

Yes, blogging has indeed made me famous not only amongst my friends but also my teachers. The recognition and reach out has been overwhelming and makes me feel glorious. Travels A La Carte has been a joyful ride and has changed and improved my life in many ways. The appreciation and being termed as a “young blogger” indeed has set me apart and has engraved a directional path for my future career.

4. Tell us about your blog?

‘Travels A La Carte’ showcases a series of travel experiences that infuse my flair for fun-filled globetrotting. My blogs are written with the intent to inspire and encourage various travelers. As a travel blogger, I am continuously penning down my travel diary yet capturing the moments of my life.

5. You will soon be entering the teenagehood. Any advice you would like to give to kids your age?

Yes, I really think teenage today has a new definition. It surely is time to set one’s short and long-term goals. We should start pursuing our passion sooner for all you know it will create a significant and positive impact on the world around us.

Working consistently towards a direction will only create focus and yield recognition with success. Start now!! Listen to your parents and pursue what you are good at

6. What or who inspires Rainna Goel?

‘You are never too young to make it big’ Mollie from @wheresmollie really inspires me as I think she’s fearless and dared to think out of the box as she brought together strangers who shared a common passion.

7. Your favourite quote?

“Travel, it leaves you speechless then turns you into a storyteller”

8. Your favourite hobby?

Having ballet and Kathak by my side for over 7 years, these varied forms of dances add to the artistic side of me. I also enjoy calligraphy and badminton. My passion for travel is fuelled through my favourite hobby which is creative writing.

9. What are the three things that are important for you?

The three things most important for me in this order are Family, Education, and Travelling.
