Sushma Tiwari’s Meet, Pitch & Discuss – Getting To Know Winning Women
Starting with an invite note from Sushma Tiwari who is the founder of Mirrors n Images and Business with Passion, it led to intros of all the woman participants. Sushma welcomed all and made everyone comfortable. She talked about her brand and her upcoming branch near Dwarka Expressway on April 19. She also talked about the essence of the meeting and the motive behind the same and how it aimed to be different. She highlighted all the hosts of the meet and also recognized their brands and made way for them to speak up for themselves. Kudos Sushma for a wonderful platform given to all female entrepreneurs to network and showcase their work.
After her, it was Smriti Bhatia’s introduction turn. Coming to the podium she extended her thanks to Sushma and spoke about her brand Choco House & SIABAZ. Also, the gift sponsor for the event her chocolaty creations are out of this world. She has established a niche for herself in chocolate making and is the creator of themed chocolates. She has chocolate as an answer to everyone who wants to eat it ranging from vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free to more. Her special tip to children who are in awe of her chocolates is brushing teeth after eating chocolates will keep germs at bay.
It was Smriti Dutta’s turn to speak and she spoke about The Revive-Boutique and her on the wheel services. She completed 3 years recently with her venture and is catering to global clientele. Her USP is free pick and drops for the clothing material and renovating an old wardrobe with old clothes stitched and styled back in new and current trends. Looking pretty in purple she slashed it with her smile.
The next entrepreneur to speak was Monika Bhardwaj from Wedding Belz. She called herself a one-stop shop and her products to be of top quality. Her products ranged from bedsheets to clothing and jewelry which was mind-blowing. Gift sponsor for the event, she was very happy to be amongst like minded females and enjoyed the session throughout.
It was my turn (Tanusri from Winningstree) to speak after Monika and I spoke about my journey as a 9 to 5 person doing her job and being happy about it until she decided to call it quits and not be part of the rat race. Sitting back at home I remembered that I could write as complemented by my friends and thus began my journey with the pen. After a while, I decided to write on my own terms and thus created my blog which you all are reading now! 😊
It was Sakshi Gupta’s turn to talk about her venture. She stated that life showed her a lot of downs but she stood back strong facing with her sunny side up. An introvert, she started as a digital marketer and then went on to start her own chain of wooden furnishings. She calls her venture ‘whispering woods’ and her collection ranges from wooden home décor, furniture, and giftable items. This versatile girl was sweet and shy yet powerful and determined at the same time.
Next in line was Meena Kapoor who spoke about her brand Tizzlers. She was in Australia for quite some time and then coming back tried her luck with various businesses. Someone in her family made chutneys and pickles and she thought of branding the same, thus came up her brand Tizzlers. Her lemon chutney is the best in the market and as I write this I’m already salivating for more. Having finished one bottle in about 15 days, I would recommend Tizzlers by Meena Kapoor and her lemon chutney to everyone.
It was then time for Neelam Singh Bist to speak for her brand. She is doing a wonderful job in reviving and keeping alive the ancient Indian heritage of Indian handloom through her work. Samhita as she proudly calls it started in April 2017. She caters to artisans who are into handcrafting weaving magic with their bare hands and no machine, churning out some exquisite designs onto ethnic ensembles. The lady with beautiful hair and a down to earth persona has about 16 years of prior experience in the garment industry working closely with designers.
Another wonderful and inspiring lady who spoke about her journey was Pratiksha Rai. She is the founder of Lighthouse Institute which caters to grooming and behavioral teaching among kids and grownups alike. Pratiksha is a multi-talented female with a happy and warm demeanor which will attract anyone towards her. Her story of entrepreneurship began from making stuffed toys in childhood as a pastime to crafting chocolate’s post marriage. She has been there and done it all till one day she decided to build her own institution. A wonderful speaker she does not has a no word in her dictionary. 😊
Then came a very sweet lady on the podium to address all of us and giving us all a push, she spoke about her journey. A very inspiring Neeta Mehta met with an unfortunate accident which made her lose her hearing powers but never her zing and confidence to get back at life. She now coaches people about happiness and makes them stable emotionally by touching their lives. A master life coach in linguistic artistry and hypnotic conversation she is also a blogger and an upcoming author penning down a motivational story. Kudos to Neeta for her never say never attitude.
Women supporting women was more evident by meeting the duo who was next. Sushhmaa Ahuja and Richa Mongia from Live Fabulous were interior designers on a mission. They met each other and decided to be partners together in their venture and since then have never looked back. Growing together they shared their inspiring stories and how they love what they do. Their passion and energy transpired and the remaining females became all the more charged up.
Entering to the podium next was none other than the glam diva Prachi Chopra from INSIA. Her allergy free jewelry has been something really out of the box and much needed especially in this era of pollution. A relief to people with sensitive skin Prachi shared her story with everyone. Having seen all the highs from her professional days, her brand INSIA has already made a mark for itself as a statement fashion jewelry. The sophisticated glamor queen, Prachi Chopra, and her brand are definitely a must visit before accessorizing yourself.
Then came Sapna Khemani as her name suggests she looked like a dream in her purple outfit. The pretty in purple is a mother of 3 kids and was a teacher until she got inspired by the field of occult sciences and numerology. Today her brand Tarot Speaks is the most recommended on social media for Tarot predictions and numerology. She has earned a mark in these fields with her determination and zeal to excel. A very warm-hearted person she is your forever friend.
Radhika Jain was next with her story. Another multi-faceted personality, she is experienced and well-versed with the tricks and trades of what it takes to tick a business. A psychology post-graduate, a dance teacher, all her skills speak up for herself. Radhika is surely a go-to person for any sort of corporate or business understanding insight that you might need.
The bubbliest and cutest girl took over from there. Her name Shikha Mittal and her brand Saaj Sajja are very reputed. She also deals in Kid Woolens which are hand woven and food and sweets which are hand made using natural ingredients. She thanked her parents and her husband for whatever she is today. A special mention was thrown at Smriti for being her guiding force and a motivator throughout.
Neeru Sood was a bundle of energy and positivity packed into one. She spoke about her humble and grounded beginnings and thanked her parents for a good upbringing. A thorough Delhiite she is a management consultant who provides brand and digital marketing solutions to her clients. A B. Pharma & MBA degree holder she worked in various corporates before calling it quits pursuing her own dreams. She had her first project within 15 days of leaving her job.
It was the healers turn, Purnima Bhauguna and her brand Triaanya’s Health Mantra are equally reputed. A naturopathy, Ayurveda and Aromatherapy consultant she also makes her own product ranges and be it her fragrances or her creams and gels, each one of them already has great customer reviews and feedback. She thanked her mom and got emotional in sharing how she came back out of a deadly disease in the past.
It was Vedika Tripathi’s turn from You We & Events. Another fighter she was diagnosed with a rare condition in her younger days and had to go through a lot of things including barely being able to use her hands. From there to today where she can write with both her hands, is the founder of her venture and also is a food blogger she has actually come a long way. More power to you Vedika.
Lastly but not the least came in Devika Goel from Astro Vaastu Kendra. A beautiful, calm and poised soul she patiently waited for her turn after everyone else. An astrologer from the core, she was simply awesome. She guided people about vaastu and the science behind it. She thanked her profession and such gatherings to be the reason for elimination of her public speaking phobia. She has emerged as a more confident person post becoming a successful woman entrepreneur.
This is not the End …
It was almost 2 by then and the other half of the session remained while the women took a tea break. Such beautiful and talented females on board for the meeting made the atmosphere electrifying. The participants were all enterprising entrepreneurs who believed in growing together. This meet certainly showed us what it takes to become successful women entrepreneurs in India.
The women and their stories were so inspiring that it inspired me to pen a whole lot of words in their honor. The next article will showcase the agenda of the meet and what made this meet a unique one in town. Cheers to woman power!! Go Winning Women Go!!
